Mwalimu Falola, I would be grateful, if you could kindly post the following on your USA-Africa Dialogue listserv.
Condolences to the Global Family of the True Afrikan Nationalist Mualim Ahmed Mohamed Kathrada ("Kathy")
Abdul Karim Bangura
Laa ilaaha allal-laahu Muhamadur Rasuiulullaah. I send my sincere condolences to one of the first USA-Africa Dialogue Listserv family members, Mazruianaist, Afrikan Nationalist, and my Namesake Abdul Samed Bemath and the other members of the global family of the True Afrikan Nationalist Mualim Ahmed Mohamed Kathrada ("Kathy") on this great hero joining our ancestors. The following is an excerpt from what Wikipedia says about this Madiba who spent 27 years in prison alongside Madiba Tatamkhulu Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela for fighting against the second most evil system humankind has ever seen, i.e. apartheid, the first being the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Ahmed Mohamed Kathrada (21 August 1929 – 28 March 2017), sometimes known by the nickname "Kathy", was a South African politician, former political prisoner and anti-apartheid activist. Kathrada's involvement in the anti-apartheid activities of the African National Congress (ANC) led him to his long-term imprisonment following the Rivonia Trial, in which he was held at Robben Island and Pollsmoor Prison. Following his release in 1990, he was elected to serve as a member of parliament, representing the ANC. He has authored a book, No Bread for Mandela- Memoirs of Ahmed Kathrada, Prisoner No. 468/64"
May Allah (SWT) grant the True Afrikan Nationalist Mualim Ahmed Mohamed Kathrada ( "Kathy)" a good road and Jannatul Firdaus.
Shukran Jazeelan! Jazakumu Allahu Khayrain!
