I started thanking Our Heavenly Father and jubilating over Brother Obama's presidential election victory
Brother Harvey Tristan Cropper cautioned me - that I should please be aware of the fact and the reality that Brother Obama had been elected President of the United States and was answerable to that constituency - that Brother Obama had not been elected President of Africa and the African Diaspora worldwide or answerable to the shmiling and shuffering African masses
But back to the perfect hypothetical case of a near-future US President born of a Yoruba Father - or e-g Chuka Umunna (Igbo father) - he speaks good English (native speaker , standard English, RP) is sometimes in hot waters, but nonetheless a potential future prime minister of Greater Britannia - there position could be somewhat akin to Einstein's precarious position soon after he proposed the theory of relativity :

Ditto if Black President of the United States messes up big time, of course the Klan will ask what else to expect of a Nigga from Africa?
Needless to say, either gentleman - Yoruba or Igbo - would be representing not only his father's tribe were he to mess up big time, but in standard Buckingham Palace Naija English we will probably hear or read one of his Naija antagonists ( not of the same tribe as the President's father) declaim - " YOU are an embodiment of your father's tribe!"
Really, the pressure from the Naija media ( especially from the various quacks and party hacks , would be enormous for the Yoruba- American or the Igbo-American President to do great things, not just for his father's tribes people but also for his Fatherland. Should such occur in the age of the Biafran-American - then foreign aid to Nigeria could even suffer from some punitive indifference bordering on neglect.
I should fondly like to imagine that if someone like Cornelius Ignoramus were to be elected Potus , then Africa - all Africa would know that there was areal nigga and not some tiger pussy sitting in the White House. Of course, he would only be a one term president - no doubt about that since everything on his agenda would have to be accomplished within the first term during which term all Africa will be praying that it will all be accomplished before he is dispatched to the Hereafter by an assassin's bullet...

(BTW I sometimes fantasize about what a different planet this world could have been or at least the discussions and trajectories and take-offs in this our USA-Africa dialogue series would have been if the father of the First Black President of the US had been (a) a Yoruba man (b) an Honourable Hausa man (c) A Fulani (d) An Igbo man (more unimaginable chest beating about " our man" in the White House ) and I guess that Papa, Grandpa, Chidi etc. would have been prevailing upon him, desperately to give his unadulterated moral support to the Biafra cause etc. etc.
