Rather, she is now the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora. Her line of authority runs through the Presidency, not through the Foreign Ministry, with which her office naturally has to work closely. In her remit, she has focused more on the WELFARE of Nigerians going to, coming from and living in the Diaspora than any other issue. The Foreign Ministry has a much wider remit, and her office poses no danger whatsoever to that important ministry.
She should be commended for her warning/advice, not excoriated.

Date: Thu, Mar 9, 2017 12:00 PMThe problem with Nigeria is that we celebrate triviality to cover our banality in the face of actuality and the substantial. Well, the advice /advisory of Ms Dabiri Erewa has woken the sleeping Ministry of External Affairs and is raising dust about the right to dignity of Nigerians. I really wish other members of the legislative arm will also give their voice to issues concerning the well-being of Nigerians instead of bickering about stolen power, position and wealth.
