It is sad that children from poor homes are sacrificing their education for the benefit of children from richer homes. Meanwhile the rich children are in schools studying to write their GCE, the children from poor homes in the NW and SW are boycotting education because they want secession/federalism/independence.
It is no secret that all parents from the North West and South West who are financially capable, have sent their children to the other provinces to go continue their education and write their promotion or certificate exams. Only the poor children are left behind.
The children in school will rule over the children who are not in school! The educated will always rule over the uneducated!
Federalism/secession/independence does not translate to better socio-economic conditions and opportunities. Federalism/secession/independence does not mean an end to bribery and corruption, mismanagement, tribalism, abuse of authority, feymanism etc.
Federalism/secession/independence can only have a positive impact on the socio-economic conditions of the people if it ushers in trustworthy, bold, imaginative and selfless leaders with integrity and a clear achievable mission and vision for the people.
We must do extensive background checks on any group or person that has declared itself a leader of the people of the North West and South West. We must look at the detail history of these people. Do they cheat on their wives? Do they respect women? Have they ever stolen public funds or engaged in corruption? What have they contributed to their immediate community? Do we trust these people enough to make the sacrifices that they are demanding we make?
Do we believe the solution they are proposing is the best solution to the problem.
A farmer knows that a bee hive on his farm is a problem and he must get rid of the bee hive in order to work freely on his farm.& nbsp; There are many ways the farmer can use to get rid of the bee hive, and he must select the most effective way that will get rid of the bees with minimum or no injury injury to him and his family. He can chose to stone the bees and get stung by the bees to death or he can wear the appropriate protective clothing and go burn down the bee hive without any incident or injury.
Will secession/federalism/independence stop the bribery, corruption, abuse of authority, financial mismanagement etc in the Bamenda council? Do we have to wait for secession/federalism/independence to address corruption in the NW and SW that is carried out by people with NS and SW heritage?
