The Lost Tribes if Israel is history.
As Fela says in Roforofo Fight (and I hear him clearly) : "like the Jews, you no go know who be who"
Today, there are many claimants - many people who claim to be descendants of one or the other of the lost tribes of Israel - among which the Igbo or some Igbo calling themselves "the Jews of Nigeria" are one such people. Did Chinua Achebe ever make such historical claims?
I fantasize that should the Igbo ever get a state of their own to be known as Biafra, then some of the so called Jews among them could want to declare it a Jewish State? By which token I guess that the Nigerian Muslims, Fulani herdsmen etc. cold be considered Palestinians or Arabs, or descendants of some Arab tribes? I don't know. I thought that all Jews have a right to the one reconstituted in the Middle East - still secular and not a theocracy and known as Israel.
Forgive me, sometimes my imagination gets the better of me.

How on God's earth did this Igbo Jewish ancestry story start and on what concrete premise was it predicated?CAO.
