By Chidi Anthony Opara
-- On the sand they sat,
The little children of Biafra.
The evening breeze
Soothed
Their sun scorched skins.
The moon smiled
Her benevolent smile.
Their minds meander
The maze of tales told,
Tales of lions of Biafra.
The children questioned,
Their questions hushed.
They questioned again,
Again, their questions hushed,
Doubts danced on their minds.
The oracle came to rescue.
"The tale bearers
Are bearers of falsehood",
The oracle revealed.
"The lions of the tale bearers
Are the paper lions of Biafra",
The oracular revelation resounded.
