USA Africa Dialogue Series - TWO DAYS TO THE CONFERENCE ON PROGRESSIVE POLITICS

Owerri, Imo State; Thursday, May 25, 2017:           The non-profit Organizing For Opportunities (OFO) and the publishing imprint of Sungai Books report that all is set for the first multi-party Conference on Progressive Politics in Nigeria, as well as for the public presentation and launching of Truth is Life: An Autobiography of HRH Eze S. N. Ugorji. The events are scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2017, starting at 9 a.m. at the Sam Mbakwe Hall, Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri. Three hundred and twelve (312) people have so far communicated their plan to attend the event. This means that there is still room in the 500 seat-capacity hall to accommodate walk-ins.

The president of OFO and publisher of Sungai Books, Dr. Ugorji O. Ugorji, has been in Nigeria meeting with the various political and social groups who will participate in the events. With respect to the Conference on Progressive Politics, he reports that "the seminal event aims to begin a march away from the politics of personalities and towards the politics of progressive ideas." With the book presentation, Dr. Ugorji will introduce the Sungai Books' series on Royal Fathers.
