May his soul rest in peace. He was a strong advocate for Nigerian unity. He had a remarkable memory, and a respecter of persons irrespective of creed or ethnicity.Bitrus Gwamna.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Obituary: Alhaji Yusuf Maita Sule
Innalillahi wa inna ilahir raji'un. This is to announced from the breaking news agog in Nigeria's broadcast media of the passing away of Alhaji YusuMaitama Sule, Danmasanin Kano. An iconic figure, the youngest and ever First Republic Minister of Mines and Power and famous Nigeria's Permanent Representative at the UN during the Second Republic, Dan masanin Kano would be remembered most for his oratory skills, which would be missed most. By dying in a Cairo hospital where he went for medical attention, further reminds us all of the need for a veritable declaration of emergency over our health sector.
May his gentle soul rest in Janatul Fridaus
