I'm happy to say that at Kwara State. we're currently setting up a project
for a College of Engineering and Technology that will also embrace
aviation. The Provost of the College is Professor Leo Daniel, a Nigerian
who currently teaches at MIT. We also have Professor Wole Soboyejo of
Princeton as a consultant to the project.

We also plan to start a course next year on the History of Science as part
of our General Studies Programme, in an effort to make our students aware
of the interconnections between Science and the Humanities.

Hopefully this will be a modest start to what we expect be to an
innovative approach to resolving the problem that C.P. Snow described as
that of the two cultures--a problem that I think he exaggerated.

Irele
