Dear friends,
I totally agree with yours comments on the strategy of lowering the value of degrees. But being from Benin Republic and facing similar problems, I have the feeling that the issue is not only nigerian issue. It has partially to do with the education policy promoted by the International body you all know and we, the countries from the South, either are not aware of the education killing game at play nor have or safeguard the means to curb the trend.
Normally, this is an issue to be discussed at the level of African Union. But do our national authorities see this as a problem forthe coming decades? That is the question...

CAO,
Like all things in life, the cheapening of degrees will eventually make degrees worthless, and then it would be clear that you really do not need one to be successful in life!
It is happening as we type. I have an adopted daughter pursuing law who is also doing tailoring and fashion design on the side. I advised her to concentrate on both as either will bring her fame and fortune just as both may!
I have a poem from a friend to share with you.
Cheers.

Instead of increasing, Nigeria is lowering university admission cutoff mark! Must everybody have a degree? Must one have a degree to be useful to his/her society?
