Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - FW: On North Korea

Greetings all.

I enjoy reading Professor Mimiko's essay. Given the premise on which it is written, it cannot be faulted, either in thesis, argumentation or deductions. We are really good at such academic effort when we set our minds to it. And the Professor has always been a great academic.

However, there are so many issues I have with the so-called "denuclearization of the Korean Peninsular" or any other part of the world. Let me phrase these as questions for our International Affairs Academy:

a) What is it that makes it alright for some countries (any country, for that matter) to have nuclear arsenal, but others are prohibited from having it?
b) Is it the inferior humanity of those other countries?
c) Is it benign racism at work that makes it alright for Canada, China, France, India, Israel, Pakistan, Australia to have nuclear arsenal, but Iran, North Korea, South Africa, cannot (This issue was well raised in the essay in a different way, but the targets of the bullying was not quite well enunciated by the Professor)?
d) Why do we let the North, read USA (known for official criminality and cruelty to all other climes) dictate the discourse agenda, format of investigation and outcomes of such investigations, while we in the South do not more than jump on the bandwagon, to engage the debate as formulated, without asking our own questions outside of the set ones (Professor Mimiko talks of rogue nation, maximum leader, aberrant North Korea, while ignoring that the only country in human history that has used weapons of mass destruction over and over (in Japan - atom bomb, Vietnam - agent orange, Iraq - depleted uranium, etc.) is the one led now by a mad and totally mendacious man, if not worse - at least mad people avoid falling into chasms)?
e) Why is capitalism more rational than socialism/communism/communalism or any other more humane socio-political and economic arrangement operated by humans in other climes? This whole thing is about raping other societies without such societies being able to raise a whimper (France and her ex and current colonies, USA and Africa, etc.); at least, if a dog is going to die, it should be given the benefit of a whimper!
f) What is it that privileges some cultures and denigrates others, such that the riff-raff of the world are now the ones dictating how everyone shall live, even when their prescribed formula will lead to collective omnicide?
g) Does anyone remember why, of the three axes of evil, only degraded, emasculated and castrated Iraq was attacked post-9/11?
h) When Trump can boast of wiping off the face of the earth North Korea (worse than insanity to contemplate), what is China supposed to do? Hey, go ahead, destroy 200 million of our citizens as COLLATERAL DAMAGE?
i) Why does Israel need nuclear arsenal against her surrounding enemies, when using it there will mean suicide for Israel (I don't actually understand how anyone can be afraid of Israel in the Middle East anyway)?
g) And, by the way, why is it that "Oloto" can no longer say "toun oto"?

Prof., good essay, am just being concerned. And you are right. Nigeria just doesn't exist, except to make up the numbers (o ba won rin, kanan yeye - journeymen). We should be encouraging our youth to anticipate and formulate alternative discourse, hold our leaders (dealers) accountable, otherwise we all fall into disciplinary decadence, and attendant consequences of collective impoverishment, regardless of individual primitive wealth accumulation.
