Our Own Mwalimu Kehbuma Langmia Wins the Very Prestigious Toyin Falola Africa Book Award

Good Greetings ASRF Family Members:

I pray that you and your families are doing wonderfully well. It is with great joy that I share with you the wonderful news that our own Mwalimu Kehbuma Langmia, a member of our ASRF Research and Publications Committee, has won the 2017 Toyin Falola Africa Book Award given by the Association of Global South Studies for his book titled Globalization and Cyberculture: An Afrocentric Prospective (2016) published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Intellectual effulgence, hard work, seriousness, humanitarianism, humility, and, above all, intuitiveness, which are the hallmarks of the ASRF Family, are the epitome of Mwalimu Langmia as a scholar. He is efficient in providing suggestive and thorough evaluations for the works of ASRF Family members who seek his expertise and is humble enough to request the same for his own work. Mwalimu Langmia's love for the ASRF is so genuinely abounding that even while he is on travel on The Motherland, most recently in Uganda, he still carefully evaluates ASRF 2018 conference proposals in a very timely manner.

Indeed, Mwalimu Kehbuma's award is one more affirmation for why ASRF Family members are per capita the most published authors, the most holders of endowed chairs, the most quickly tenured and promoted scholars, the most winners of prestigious academic and other awards, and the most holders of top administrative positions inside and outside academia.

Walk Good and Remain ASRF Strong!

In Peace Always,
Karim/.
