Not just "sweet mama," but what appears to have been an extraordinary family. I really was struck by this: "He went to Sudan and then to Italy and eventually moved the family to San Diego. Nine of Keflezighi's 11 siblings earned college degrees, and four have advanced ones."

Good morning good friends:

 

This story in the NYT reminded me of the impact of our loving mothers on our lives.  Those of us who overcome the challenges of political oppression and survived from the horrors of prison, armed struggle,  refugee life and exile, would appreciate this story.  What motivates us to not only survive but to do good?  I hope you find story an inspiration as well.  Thanks for all that you do.
