USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: STAR NEWS: Buhari sacks Babachir Lawal, Ayodele Oke; appoints Boss Mustapha new SGF

Adewale Aribatise:

(1)  Why do you think that being elected to the Constituent Assembly is such a crowning glory?

(2) Might such a group of persons - younger lawyers 10 years and below not have been sought from around the country?

(3)  If after being called to the bar  he did one year of LLM and three years of PhD, he got appointed to the Constituent Assembly after four years of PhD in Constitutional Law, would you consider him unqualified to serve?

My whole point is neither you or know how exactly useful or not he was at the Constituent Assembly, and we not use his age, qualification, axis of origin or his career length to judge.

Besides, we now have an opportunity to judge him anew on this SGF position.  All eyes are on him and his Principal.

And there you have it.   He is a breath of fresher air compared with his "cousin" Babachir

 My
 People:
 Very good
news......now action on Maina-gate is next, as well as a
re-shufflement of cabinet, all in connection with a belated
re-set with new key performance indices.
One hopes that Boss Mustapha has
been checked out thoroughly....he is certainly more refined
 than Babachir....
 And
 there you have it.
