As the elections draw closer, will start reading the papers again,such as they are, at least on a weekly basis, to get a grip on exactly what's going on, not just when it's bad news, civil war, Ebola, mudslides etc.
But even some of those living in the midst of poverty and for the average family the daily crisis of trying to make ends meet, they too don't know what's going on at the upper echelons and it's the upper echelons that rule over the crises of day to day poverty, forever promising a bright future for everyone , just as they have been promising since Independence on the 27th of April,in nineteen sixty one.
From this distance, it's like it's happening in another world,
That this ain't exactly real Or it's real, but it ain't exactly there
Even some of the people you're living with in diaspora Sweden, when we talk about ordinary things, not about world poetry or that kind of little brain stuff , it could be as simple as everyday Swedish politics with the son of Ogun ( no Igbo politicians here thank Gad ) sometimes it's as if we are living in different worlds,far from home ( heaven); so despite being fully informed about what's going on over there in Sierra Leone where people are still suffering and for the poor man ( poverty is of the same tribe) it's maybe more macadamised roads, otherwise it seems that there's nothing much to smile about.
In Africa the main crisis is said to be fuelled by a lack of leadership , it's a crisis of leadership and that's why the Sierra Leone : Elections in March 2018 is something to look forward to and to pray that it will be a free and fair and peaceful election.
