Dear Dr. Emeagwali:
I welcome this initiative. However, I wonder if you may substitute what looks to me like a Eurocentric theme of "Ideological conflict between Winnie and Nelson Mandela" with "Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's ideological conflict with the apartheid white minority regime." As we all recall, the focus of that epic struggle as well as the central target of all of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's life of struggle was the overthrow of Apartheid, not marital issues or ideological differences (if any) between Winnie and Nelson. It also surprizes me that none of the themes that you proposed for your Africa Update edition on Winnie Madikizela-Mandela reflects the essence of her life-long battle.
