Suggestions are always welcome. I just mentioned a few that were off the regular path.
That is not to say that her lifelong struggle in its diverse dimensions should be ignored.
In the final analysis most of the articles may go in that direction so your suggestion about conflict with the apartheid regime is very well taken.
I believe that there was a serious ideological difference
between Winnie and Nelson in terms of political strategy. Mandela and his deputy, Mbeki, were in favor of the neo -liberal program GEAR whilst Winnie was apparently more inclined to the Freedom Charter, and a more socialistic RDP(Reconstruction and Development Program) by the time we get to the mid 90s. Winnie was closer to Malema's (EFF)Economic Freedom Fighters than to Mbeki. Someone may wish to explore this hypothesis or a similar one - but the private life of the two is really out of bounds.
Western media coverage reveals the bias of the media against Black women, and their preoccupation with White privilege and property. Their hatred of Winnie is in many cases spurred by her call for land expropriation and this shows up in their commentary. Someone may also think of exploring this issue - and many more.
Thank you for your comments.

Subject: Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Africa Update. Vol. XXV. Issue 3 (Summer 2018): WINNIE MANDELA. Call for articles.Dear Dr. Emeagwali:
I welcome this initiative. However, I wonder if you may substitute what looks to me like a Eurocentric theme of "Ideological conflict between Winnie and Nelson Mandela" with "Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's ideological conflict with the apartheid white minority regime." As we all recall, the focus of that epic struggle as well as the central target of all of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's life of struggle was the overthrow of Apartheid, not marital issues or ideological differences (if any) between Winnie and Nelson. It also surprizes me that none of the themes that you proposed for your Africa Update edition on Winnie Madikizela-Mandela reflects the essence of her life-long battle.
