This is an invitation to all our colleagues, especially those in Ibadan and environs for a special presentation on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 being organized by the Institute of African Studies (IAS), University of Ibadan in collaboration with African Studies Institute (ASI), University of Georgia, and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). The event speaker will be Professor Ibigbolade Simon Aderibigbe, Professor of Religion at the University of Georgia. Just recently promoted to Full Professor of Religion and African Studies at the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA, Prof. Aderibigbe will be speaking on the topic, "Traditional Songs as 'Language' of Information and Morality in Yoruba Religious Beliefs and Culture: Context and Significance."
The program is scheduled for Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan.
