Miyetti Allah leader denies saying killing of 200 in Plateau was reprisal attack
'It is instructive that none of the MACBAN leaders Everyday.ng spoke with denied that the killing of the indigenes was done by Fulani herdsmen or militia.'
modification in response to outrage from nigeriansthe evil ones made the same claim on the massacre of hundreds at agatu and never modified their declaration bcs outrage at that time had not grown to the current point.the same report referenced in the preceding post insightfully notes-'It is instructive that none of the MACBAN leaders Everyday.ng spoke with denied that the killing of the indigenes was done by Fulani herdsmen or militia.'
these people are toying with us, like a predator does with its prey

It's true that more than 100 people have been murdered in organized attacks on various communities in Plateau North Senatorial District, especially in Barakin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. Reprisal attacks occurred blockage of roads by non-Muslims in areas they have advantage occurred on Sunday only, as far as I know.
The organized attacks started last Saturday, June 22nd (when gunmen attacked covoys retiring from a funeral) and continued that night through to the early hours of Sunday morning. Various farming communities were sacked: people killed in large numbers and house in the communities burnt down. Those that escaped death ran away. On Monday night another community was attacked with the same result as in the Saturday -Sunday attack.
The perpetrators of the organized attacks are said to be the infamous "herdsmen"- one of their leaders accepted herdsmen were responsible and stated that the attacks were revenge missions for rustled cows. I personally believe that professionally-trained ex-or serving military and para military personnel are the culprits and that the herdsmen may only be assisting. The precision and perfection which the attacks are organized and carried out during the nights do not suggest that the ordinary Fulani people have the capacity for these large-scale and perfect jobs, as they are never caught.Jos the Plateau State capital has been calm-uneasy though. This, the University of Jos issued security alertness warning to staff and students but did not cancel lectures. I had a four hour activity in the school today, Tuesday, June 26, including lectures and giving a test (between 8am and 12noon).
After my school activities, I went to the main business district of Jos, a place called "terminus" and life was ongoing as usual: the traffic and businesses.
We are watching.

Oloye,I am stuck in Abuja .I arrived on Saturday .We had our meetings on the PASGR research project on " New Forms of Social and Political Actions" which we are partnering IDS Sussex in carrying out in Nigeria, Pakistan, Mynmar, Mozambique, Bangladesh and Sierra Leone.I was supposed to proceed to UniJos by road today. We had just graduated 40 of our Collaborative MRPP students in Jos on Saturday.I have a colleague from UniJos who made it here for our research workshops. Others can't make it.I have been advised not to proceed to Jos by road. No car hire driver would take me either from Sheraton Hotel or the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport. These are folks I have been using for more than a decade. Nobody here on the ground clearly knows what's going on. There is no moral equivalency for taking innocent lives, targeting communities or killing innocent bystanders! There are killings and counter killings that target Christians and Muslims. The VC of UniJos has cancelled lectures and ordered students to stay in their campuses. Our academic colleagues are beleaguered , bewildered, overwhelmed and resigned to fate. We have two research projects that involve colleagues from UI, UniJos, Unilorin and Unimaid on : i) Commissions of Inquiry in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria( there have been scores related to these flare-ups, what has happened to the reports) and II) Accountability and Empowerment with the #BBOG movement. There has been massive killings, people have been burnt alive in the cars they are traveling in. People are being profiled according to their religious affiliation . What we don't know for sure are actual casualty numbers and which sides are responsible . And what has provoked the current flare up? What we know is that we have a state and government that cannot and is not able to protect citizens . Active mobilization across ethnic divides and provocative noises are not helping our citizens, compatriots and colleagues and friends on the ground. The two political parties are not playing any useful role either. There's the need to rethink how we organize and mobilize around the Middle Belt and North Eastern region question. We must go beyond our frustrations to hold our political parties and governments accountable. Our peoples' lives should not be played with for political games. What are we seeing here? Is it about the land question? Is it about historical grievances? Are we witnessing ethnic cleansing? We must correctly name what we are witnessing. That's my take for now. It seems I can't get into Jos by road for now .Tade.
Sent from my iPad----I have no way of confirming the report by Sahara that the killings of over 80 people (the no. is plus or minus) in Plateau is revenge for the stealing of 300 cows.
I hope this is not true. It cannot be true, as any mind that equates a cow with a human is faulty. A cow should not, under any circumstances, be compared to a human life.
If this is true, can we propose that we pay for any lost cow?
