Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Plateau Massacre a Revenge Mission, No One Should Expect Peace – Miyetti Allah

well done, oga OAA

but, this is the mildest yet of such declarations by Miyetti Allah. In the name of political correctness, this public statement makes a lame effort at some form of hedging. That strategy is a recent development to pretend to a degree of humility while forcefully projecting a bloodthirsty warrior spirit.

that on the Agatu massacre was much more brazen and was expressed at a meeting of stakeholders in the region, including fed govt security operatives.

None other than the Emir of Kano, one of the apex heads of Miyetti Allah, exe-central bank gover Sanusi Lamido Sanusi,  alluded to the last Benue massacre in terms of a balance of destruction of lives by Fulani in Taraba, a most questionable claim given publicly accessible information on the incident in question and as affirmed by the Taraba state govt.

Before that Benue massacre, Miyetti Allah had vowed defiance of the state's anti-open grazing law enacted to protect itself agst the recurrent massacres carried out by the Fulani herdsmen terrorists. They vowed to invite Fulani to congregate in Benue. They congregated and struck.

Buhari's response to the people of Benue-'accommodate your neighbors'.

The response of the min of defense and the IGP after a security council meeting with Buhari- ' the massacre is the fault of the anti-open grazing law.

On learning of an impending Fulani herdsmen attack, the governor of Enugu state was able to mobilize security forces to protect Nimbo, the endangered community. The security men, who are not under the control of the state gov but of the fed govt, left the scene not long before the terrorists struck. The governor reported the incident to Buhari.

When Fulani/Muslim elite such as the Sultan of Sokoto and the Emir of Kano are the most visible faces and at times spokespeople for a terrorist group, as the govt of the day does everything in its power to support this group, its only wise to understand that Nigeria is in the throes of an ethno/religious war of conquest, increasingly understood by Nigerians as Fulani Jihad Part 2.

Our only hope is the reworking of this nation. We need to break free from being within the same jurisdiction as these characters.

i think  the IPOB strategy of peaceful national dissolution through civil disobedience is the wisest option.

President Buhari cannot now avoid the responsibility to go without delay on national radio television broadcast (now that the gloves are off by this body) to tell the nation who actually is in charge of the country: a nationally elected government headed by himself or a rag tag Fulani militia (along the lines of Boko Haram) bent on destabiling the country for their stated goals even using genocidal strategies as contained in their press statement.

If President Mohammadu Buhari is indeed in charge then the self declared warriors must be summarily arrested and tried for treason on the strength of their declaration.  If he is no longer in charge the National Assembly must behave honourably in an expeditious manner since it means Nigeria is now in a state of emergency.

                                                                                         – Miyetti Allah

                                                                                              News Express

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has described the recent killings by suspected herdsmen in three local government areas (LGAs) in Plateau State as retaliatory.

Chairman of North-Central Zone of the association, Danladi Ciroma said the gruesome attacks on Riyom, Jos South and Barkin Ladi LGAs were reprisal to the herdsmen losing about 300 cows in different communities of the LGAs.

"These attacks are retaliatory. As much as I don't support the killing of a human being, the truth must be told that those who carried out the attacks must be on [a] revenge mission," Ciroma said in a statement.

He explained that there had been unreported cases of cow rustling between by people in the affected communities. He claimed these acts were frustrating the efforts of the Plateau State governor Simon Lalong to ensure lasting peace in the State.

He further accused the communities of shielding the alleged cow thieves and attacking security officials who wanted to arrest them.

"The people carrying out these criminal activities are well known to the communities but the communities are hiding them," Ciroma said.

"Fulani herdsmen have lost about 300 cows in the last few weeks – 94 cows were rustled by armed Berom youths in Fan village, another 36 cows were killed by Berom youths. In addition to that, 174 cattle were rustled and the criminals disappeared with them to Mangu.

"Since these cows were not found, no one should expect peace in the areas. Even soldiers that went after the criminals to recover the rustled cows were shot by the armed rustlers and eventually escaped with all the cows."

The chairman who described the killer herdsmen as criminals urged members of the communities to support government in ensuring evil cease to thrive in the communities.

He called on security agencies to be fair to all parties, without neglecting any report irrespective of the party at fault to avoid further conflicts. (The Guardian)
