Ugly election dispute mars Mnangagwa slim victor

Q: More Catholic than the Pope?

Whoever you are, you may be more Catholic than the Pope, but what to say about the old tiger, Comrade Mugabe who said that he himself could not possibly vote for ZANU PF or the crocodile known as Emmerson Mnangagwa !

As critics have long observed, the Ruling ZANU-PF and its corrupt elite are so entrenched in the economic life of the country, the diamond business for example, that they would make friends with the devil himself – get advice from him and support from his agents, that's how and why they have not hesitated to stoop to the lowest depths of hell for all manner of election rigging and manipulation, in order to continue to remain in "power" so that they continue to do what they are best at doing and have been doing the past few decades, to the detriment of the long-suffering people of Zimbabwe who want a better life , many of whom have migrated to South Africa and elsewhere in the world, still praying for change in Zimbabwe.

Around the era of President Mugabe's confiscation of White Farmsteads, I attended a day-long seminar conducted by Adebayo Olukoshi for enlightenment on the matter. At the time from Sonny Okosun's " Papa's Land " to Mzwakhe Mbuli 's "Land Deal" there was, has been and always will be widespread sympathy for the Cause, in all Africa and the Diaspora - even with Brer Mugabe's violent approach to the justice or injustice of forcible land distribution...

Today, even if ZANU -PF have no intention to mend some of their former ways , such as reversing the land grabs and the Crocodile is probably supportive of his benefactors in South Africa and their own land re-distribution reforms, the Crocodile has been making overtures to the EU and the UK, still trying to make ends meet and at this uncertain point , trying to take a great distance from Comrade Mugabe who famously said, " So, Blair, Keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe!" As a Ghanaian commentator said on al-Jazeera last night , if the UK show the crocodile the door or tell him that he can kiss their behind, then there's still a world elsewhere: China!

This report is from the 1st of August before the presidential election results were announced : Zanu-PF wins majority of parliamentary seats, says electoral body, but MDC cries foul :

"Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, the country's largest group of nongovernmental organisations, said the July 30 election "falls short of a credible process". It cited concerns that the voters' roll had not been released prior to the poll, about a fifth of results from the presidential ballot were not published outside polling stations and that some voters had been "deliberately displaced".

The MDC also questioned the pace of releasing results from the presidential vote."

Johnnie Carson said just a few days ago, some elections are rigged before and after election day , and in the opinion of many, that accounts for the delay in releasing the results of the Presidential elections , although the presidential vote was all counted and done before the parliamentary votes : the delay according to most sceptics was in order to give the riggers' machinery enough time to fine-tune and adjust the results - add a little here and subtract a few there, to give their man, known as the crocodile 50.8 %, just over the margin of defeat - and as the crocodile , it's certain that he's not going to be shedding any crocodile tears for anybody...
