Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Namibia genocide. Germany returns remains. (Corrected)
Germany has returned some of the skulls of genocide victims taken to Germany for
anthropological research. They were part of the 75,000 Herero and Nama killed by the Germans
during an "extermination" campaign. Their remains were stored in museums, hospitals,
universities and were taken there early 20th century.
The reparations sought by the descendants of the victims have not materialized thus far.
