Open Letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on Executive Orders, Legislative and Judicial Lawlessness.

My Dear President Buhari:
It's been three years now since the people pitched their tent with you to rid the country of insane corrupt practices and bring looters of the treasury to book but many have shown disappointment at your rate of progress.
On my part I cautioned those who expected miracles at the inception of your administration not to expect things to be done with " immediate alacrity' as happened in your previous rulership incarnation( military). This is because democracy works strictly within the bounds of the rule of Law and due process. It is rather ironic the many have abused that rule of Law and due process to thumb their noses at the administration of justice and label you ' baba go slow'. The same gang have now seen dictatorship in the constitutional provision of Executive Orders within presidential democracy to ensure the hands of the President is not tied behind him like a captive.
Let me begin by congratulating you for demonstrating when push comes to shove that you are not only in office but you ARE IN POWER. Generations of Nigerians yet unborn will NEVER forgive you if by any act of omission or commission on your part the gang of looters and brigands who have raped the nation comatose in the past are let back into power.
Nigerians feel terribly shortchanged when they see looters walking free disobeying court orders and being celebrated and former crooks being invited to lead the nation who through their previous activities have made a mockery of the rule of Law. It is to curtail the possibility of the abuse of due process that Executive Orders were invented as kind of emergency measure in presidential systems to forestall collective miscarriage of office.
In addition to the recent travel ban to restrict the movement of those who clearly have a case to answer Executive Orders may be needed to curtail the bold faced abuse of the Constitution which has brought previous regimes crashing down. The Nigerian Constitution forbids party " carpet crossing" yet both major parties have been guilty of receiving new members in the Chambers without new elections in contravention of the Constitution.
I'm praying Mr President to invoke all powers invested in him by the Constitution (including but not limited to Executive Orders)to sanitize the polity. Mr President in the pursuance of the execution of his office must ensure that constitutional provisions are followed in the constitution of parties and liaise with party leaders to ensure they behave responsibly in this regard.
As the officer saddled with executing the provisions of the Constitution Mr President is duty bound at the date of his choosing to act with the assistance of Law enforcement agencies under his command to bar from entering the legislative chambers ALL legislators elected into the National Assembly but have chosen to change party affiliation in a lawless manner and in contravention of the Constitution until new elections are held.
If it takes 5000 Executive Orders to get Nigeria moving again and forestall abuse of legal and Judicial process 5000 Executive Orders Nigeria MUST have!
Let me congratulate you again for demonstrating that when it comes to keeping evil at bay you are not only in office you are in constitutional power.
