The sum of $2,000 was magnanimously donated to the TF Centre by Dr E. Ogah, to support persons who may need such support. Consequently the Centre identified three such students, two of which are undergraduates at Babcock University in Nigeria, and one, a PhD student of the University of Ibadan. The two undergraduate students each received the sum of N300,000, while the PhD student received the sum of N100,000, totalling N700,000 disbursed for the scholarships.
The two undergraduate students were selected based on three explicit criteria: Must be a final year/ graduating student; Must have high academic achievement; Must be truly indigent. All these were demonstrable and verified by official University records and officials.
The two students shortlisted after this process were:
The third student, Miss Adejoke Adetoro received the grant money in support of her PhD research currently ongoing in the Department of History at the University of Ibadan, and also based on verified and demonstrable need.
We are grateful for the opportunity to perform this service to God and to humanity, and call on friends and well-wishers to continue to make the Centre's activities possible by their benevolent gifts and bequests.
Thank you
Toyin Falola
