Bedie, and the countless victims of that conflict. Ironically, Allasane and his most ardent supporters of that era have now fallen out and are close to becoming sworn enemies - for which I blame Allasane, his policies, and his apparent quest to stay in power beyond his second term.
Even though Allasane has become a failed politician to many, that initial attempt to eject him based on birth identity politics was flawed, more so when perpetuated by Gbagbo, a so- called panAfricanist.
If Buhari goes along with this, his entire legacy, whatever that may be, will be in shambles. It will point to shameless ruthlessness among other things.
