The book is about smart study skills that anyone could apply to read media and text reports effectively without having to work hard. Once students grasp the skills and apply them systematically, they will get better grades, understand public policy debates, write better, and be more productive in their endeavors without following the gospel of hard work. Learning is fun essentially (LIFE) but from elementary school, teachers and parents push the gospel of hard work and knock out all the fun. The essays demonstrate the alternative hypothesis that all my work is play, a slogan that I learned from Emeka Ekpokoba, the producer of Anambra State Radio Play House, who had a BBC banner behind his desk proclaiming this truism when I went there to submit my radio plays for production and broadcast in the 1980s. The smart study skills are life skills and not just for passing examinations. I have offered to share the skills with educational authorities in Africa to help struggling students to excel but no takers yet. Now those interested can learn from this book.
