A New Creation (Poem)
By Chidi Anthony Opara
Mistakes of the godmen
And the godwomen.
Malfunctions,
Maneuvers.
Distress calls,
Distress announcements.
Panics,
Prayers.
Scrambles,
Screams,
Aircrafts in distress.
Turbulence,
Tumble,
The aircrafts are falling.
Fury of fire,
Burned bodies
Litter the landscapes.
A big beautiful bird,
Iron bird,
A new creation
Of the godmen
And the godwomen,
Created
In the wondrous workshop
Of the godmen
And the godwomen,
To grab
And rescue falling aircrafts
Saunters onto the sky,
Its intelligence artificial
But not superficial.
Big beautiful bird
Hovers,
Its sensors quiver,
Searching
For aircrafts in distress.
