Nice post on the need to build community which cannot be spelled without u and i in unity. However, you may have narrowed the meaning of Ikwu na Ibe unintentionally to mean only kindred or what Uchendu identified in his Ahiajioku lecture as Ezi na Uno or family. Gentleman Mike Ejeagha contextualized the term by asking in his akuko na egu or narrative song, 'Am I the first without Ikwu, Am I the first without Ibe?'
The suggestion is that neighbors are also family and that there is family even in a foreign land and that is why the billy goat said that travel is good because he travelled to his mother's kindred and learned how to pout.
Trust is overrated in a world of hustlers where no one tells others about their travel plans any longer to avoid those who chew (ndi uta). The only authority worthy of trust is Chi who protects the innocent against all principalities because even in the family, there could be war, there could be enmity, there could be envy, there could be hatred as names like Aghadiuno, Ilokanuno, Asikaiwe, Anyaegbu, Ironsi, etc., signify.
You should explore further if Ikwu na Ibe extends beyond the extended family to embrace the wider community of fellow human beings or Ibe from whom you can learn things you did not know as in ndi nkuzi ibe m or my fellow teachers or the Ohaneze - the community as leader.
Before you conclude that feminist thinking leads to individualism and isolationism in the modern family, you should read Adichie on why everyone should be a feminist. As you can see, she is not isolated but actively runs workshops to support younger writers despite her opposition to oppressive patriarchy.
