We been want am,
We been talk am.
We use am sing,
We use am write,
We use am do drama,
We use am dance,
Democracy don dey.
Democracy dey
But freedom no dey.
Democracy dey
But better government no dey.
Democracy dey, but
Work no dey,
Medicine no dey,
Security no dey,
Light no dey,
Water no dey,
Better thing dem no dey.
That day,
That democracy day,
Ceremony go dey,
Talk talk go dey,
Chop chop go dey,

But better government no go dey.
