That is not true! There is no right or wrong coup. There is only a successful and failed coup.
Just because the people do not want to put their lives on the line to challenge a coup that becomes a fait accompli does not make it legitimate.
Even when a section of the populace invites a coup the resultant government is not legitimate nor is that action right philosophically.
Not a single military government in Nigeria was legitimate. That is why the soldiers themselves always planned a hand over either seriously or deceptively.
