The UK heads to a general elections today in what has been observed to be the definitive polls in a generation.
The winners of the election would determine whether the UK leaves the European Union as scheduled next month or whether article 50 to prepare for exit would be revoked.
If the UK leaves the EU as planned this would signal the beginning of a new relationship with the British Commonwealth.
