Chima Korieh will deliver the keynote at the 20th African Conference at the university of Texas at Austin titled: "Nationalism and Affirmation of African Personhood". Chima Korieh is professor of History at Marquette University. He is also Research Professor at the Institute of African Studies, University of Nigeria and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Manitoba, Canada. He has authored or edited over 20 books including, The Land Has Changed: History, Society and Gender in Colonial Eastern Nigeria (University of Calgary Press, 2010), Sexuality, Human Rights, and Public Policy (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2019), Nigeria and World War II: Colonialism, Empire, and Global Conflict (Cambridge University Press, 2020). He was formerly President of the Igbo Studies Association, USA and is the editor of Igbo Studies Review and Nigerian Studies Review.
