It is deeply disturbing that these stories seem to have been continuously fabricated for years inside and outside Nigeria against Fulani herdsmen.
The Nigerian fabricators may be working to embarrass the nation's Fulani national ruler.
The international terrorist watch agencies describing Fulani militia as among the worlds two or three deadliest terror groups, on the basis of what they present as meticulous records of their attacks, displacements, massacres and murders over the years, might either be drunk on something or trying to topple the govt or trying to divide Nigeria.
In fact, all accounts of Fulani herdsmen terrorism across the country, claims by former head of state OBJ, of Nigerians' fears of Fulanisation and Islamisation , by former min of defense T.Y. Danjuma, of state assisted genocide , might be rumour mongering, when in fact, nameless and unidentified criminals are to be blamed for the recurrent massacres justified by Miyetti Allah Fulani Socio-Cultural organisation, an organisation which even though led by Nigeria's most eminent Fulani, such as the Emir of Kano and the Sultan of Sokoto, could be trying to cash in on the work of criminals of no connection to Fulani herdsmen.
The Nigerian govt's gift of 10 billion to the Fulani herdsmen's organisation MACBAN, ostensibly to stem kidnapping among their members could simply be an example of good, nationalistic leadership, not evidence of ethnic supremacist leadership using the nation's money to fund a terrorist group, as some mischievous people think.
Nation wide mobilization agst phantom Fulani herdsmen, Nigerian Catholic church march agst terrorism by Fulani herdsmen, could be seen as projects that should be directed at finding these nameless, unidentified people terrorizing Nigeria.

I see you suggest ranches alongside Amotekun self defense erected by mischievous SW govs agst Fulani herdsmen terrorism, as Yoruba leaders claim, though the govs are careful not to be so blunt.
Why Amotekun when there is no problem with Fulani herdsmen, as you have been at pains to inform us?
Is the problem not about a national crime wave, which mischievous people, indirectly helped by the actions of the Presidency, are attributing to Fulani herdsmen terrorism?
Even the Presidency is guilty in this misconception-the min of dense and IGP of police describing one of the more recent Benue massacres attributed to the Fulani herdsmen- attributed bcs no pictures or video of them doing it- as the fault of the state for creating an anti-open grazing law agst the herdsmen, when in fact, it could all be the work of nameless criminals pretending to be Fulani herdsmen, criminals leading the govt to such actions as trying to build enclaves, named ranches or RUGA, for the herdsmen across Nigeria- to better aid ethnic supremacist internal colonization plans through terrorism plans some claim- and importing grass from Brazil for them, along with trying to commandeer grazing routes across Nigeria for them.
You have been crying that the problem has nothing to do with Fulani herdsmen, but Miyetti Allah, MACBAN-two prominent Fulani organisations, the Presidency, the governors of different regions, creating or planning to create self help security groups agst the herdsmen, international terrorist watch agencies, the UK Parliament, as indicated by their detailed report on the subject, are all insisting otherwise.
Inflaming the situation are people like the Fulani professor who relatively recently publicly declared that 'Benue belongs to the Fulani by right of conquest' a declaration setting news media on fire in the wake of recurrent massacres in Benue attributed to Fulani herdsmen and justified by Miyetti Allah.
Could you please help these deluded people to help arrive at the truth?
Perhaps you could begin by lending your forensic skills to the DSS to fish out this nameless terrorist group masquerading as Fulani herdsmen.
Meanwhile, if the real Fulani herdsmen were to desist from their noble work of trekking across Nigeria to sell their cows and use trucks instead, it could blunt the efforts of the highly coordinated, nameless and yet unidentified terrorist group/s acting in their name.
Fulani nomadism is a very old culture which some are claiming is imperiled by modernity even as the nomadic Fulani are themselves trying to settle down across the nation, as some claim, saying it is evidenced by their efforts at brutally forcing themselves on communities across the nation through murder,rape and extortion, reaching a particularly deadly crescendo in the Middle Belt, with entire communities displaced through massacre, as the herdsmen move into those communities, in the context of Fulani warlords arming and training them to expedite this process, along with its attendant political implications for voting patterns across the nation as the govt declares it is opening the borders to all Fulani anywhere to enjoy facilities being created for them in Nigeria.
The movement from nomadism to transportation by trucks will help bring an end to this crisis threatening to make the country explode.
Those nomads now settled in communities that dont want them, describing them as forcing themselves on them, should please return to their places of origin.
The govt should help with pushing back desertification which could have contributed to what may seem to be a Middle Belt and Southward migration by Fulani herdsmen.
The govt should roll back the deadly policy of making Nigeria a congregation point for Fulani across Nigeria.
Miyetti Allah, MACBAN and other Fulani elite should do their best to create enabling conditions for the Fulani to settle in their traditional homelands in the North, avoiding claims to ownership in the Middle Belt or the freedom to move across Nigerian in ways that work agst the well being of other Nigerians.
The way the current situation is being pursued by the Fulani elite and the herdsmen brings to my mind the Greek adage, 'those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad'.
Its more realistic to learn from states thriving in the desert like Israel than trying to colonize Nigerians under the guise of problems like desertification.
Nigerians of all political parties are calling for an end to the forced colonial unity of the nation or a renegotiation of rights of various regions, in the conviction that the govt is being run by a Fulani/Islamist supremacist terrorist group or that that impression is being created by the govt's actions and pronouncements.
Essay titles like 'Is Buhari a member of Boko Haram [ Islamic terrorist group, the other terrorist group in Nigeria, alongside what Salimonu insists are faceless creatures masquerading as Fulani herdsmen or simply creations of human imagination]?' are no longer uncommon.

We are now being made to know that the suspected Fulani herdsmen did not destroy crops stored in the barn, rather they fed their animals with cassava, melon and yam stored in the barn, implying that the suspected herdsmen had their cattle with them at the scene of the crime. With that evidence their chance of escaping from arrest must have been very small since walking on foot with the cattle from the scene of crime after 2am could not have been so far away at dawn. The recurrence of such news, escalating since Buhari's 2015 ascension, reported in Nigerian news media and reinforced by international terrorist watch agencies that give precise statistics of these attacks and killings by Fulani militia, described by these agencies as the 2nd or third most lethal terrorist group in the world baffles me.
I am also concerned about the nation wide mobilization agst Fulani herdsmen, of which the SW Amotekun outfit is the most prominent.
Some people on social media are even beginning to describe the Buhari govt as a terrorist govt.

The reporter does not even seem to have the courage to state exactly what was stated by those whose account they are reporting, which should be, 'Fulani herdsmen are described as ...'
