Fellow Nigerians, how much longer will we continue to accept with this sick and tired structure in our country? It cannot be wrong to say that over 96% of our people are overwhelmed and fed up with the inept governance we have had to deal with. With the current 'roforofo' structure, all we've seen is retrogression and no progress; the oppression is too much and is now unbearable. One solution is that we fix the biggest cause of our problem, corruption, or we'll carry on suffering may even perish as a people. We need to do something and fast, e.g. that people of like mind come together to dialogue on how to deal with and manage corruption. If we don't, we are not likely to make much, if any, progress. Corruption has inflicted monumental deficit on our country, this ugly and hydra headed monster has brought innumerable problems upon us. However, we must agree collectively to bring about a change in our situation, e.g. we can start by recalibrating our mindset and move from our present corrupt habits, dysfunction and 'kaput' volition. On this simple step, we can start the task of restoring and rebuilding our nation. We must start with consideration for our fellow citizens, i.e. being Godly and not just religious. Enough of the vicious greed, the unkind and myopic way we see and treat fellow Nigerians and our national institutions. We can still change things by choosing a different direction of travel, it's all about our mindset. One guideline for decency is clearly stated: do to others as you wish to be done to! It's urgent and important that we address the issue of corruption and how it's destroying our lives and nation; it's now a matter of life or death. It's do-able if we agree to do it. Once we agree to change the prevalent mentality of 'I-me&myself', choose to shun corruption and its related vices, if we're serious and ready, we'll then rearrange, redesign and
rebrand our country.
Everything else will follow. Without the determination to curb corruption at every level, we're doomed and will remain stagnant as it has been for the last 60 yrs since independence. It's disheartening that we are yet to record a single achievement that benefits or favourably impacts 90% of Nigerians.
Yet, less than 4% of Nigerians elected to public offices are exploiting, stealing our common resource and terrorising the rest 96% of us; they must be told to stop, enough is enough!
I hope we are not dealing with problem of RETARDNESS in our country
Thank you.
