And all this backed by the shouting of the Evangelical Right—which though it may achieve some measure of short-term solace and relief for sufferers—will do nothing that may bring them closer to the required Inclusion. …America is a country fundamentally divided, on racial and material lines; and with the tightening lines of Oligarchy gradually squeezing out the last beams of "Freedom and Deemocracy". …Nothing new. Just that each election becomes an ever more ludicrous charade. …If you re-cast an eye over Daniel Bell's, End of Ideology, put  together in the 1960s, you'll see where he set forward we were then, and had been for some time; and indeed where we are now. …Ah me.  And for those inclined to moan that I'm a spoil-sport. …Well, there ARE better days ahead. Just that there's a good deal of sorting to be done first. And this will take time. …Oligarchs are just getting seriously settled in the saddle/ enjoying and exploring the power that has newly come to them. … And we have Tyrants yet to come. …Oh my.  Our solace? That "Light Within":  Attend to it. Keep it watered and nourished. Be generous to your prime deities. Duly it will come fully into the open. It is how change happens. The job of our successors will then be to strengthen and deepen that light across the full spectrum of humankind. …Deary me. Always challenge. Always change. …And always New Horizons. …The difference between Now and Then? Well, most of our energies today are given to battling the heavy cover of Darkness. In the Horizon Future (Then) most of our energies will be focused on Extending/ Strengthening/ Deepening emergent Light. …Quite enough. 

Time for beddies. Good night from deepest Sussex. And I hope the Creator will grant me a little Darkness, so I may be able to get a few hours of rest and sleep. Busy day filled with tiresome things to attend to tomorrow (later today). One of the problems of Elder Life (at least this Elder Life):  one has little interest in/ appetite for those things required in life, to carry one through the scrum of yet another day, perhaps two. Energies are small and short. …It is the Mind, the Heart and Soul that provide still the fire. And, remarkably, it still can burn hot.

I know , many of you have seen this before , but look at it again - I did obviously - and consider his conclusion and what it might be telling us in the middle of this pandemic and climate crisis . With all our technology etc do we have what it takes to work together -as they must have  in building the Great Pyramid - and create something different but as awesome in scale .  david
