-- I argued last century that democracy is like a car or automobile. It needs occasional servicing or a tune-up job. We have taken democracy in American for granted for a long time until now. Joe Biden, our president-elect, should address this theory after his inauguration this month. He should also look into the possibility of abolishing the electoral college system. It is anachronistic. After all, Senator Cruz and other Republicans are opposed to it and will contest its efficacy this week. So, Dems should say to these political entrepreneurs, if you don't like the electoral college system, join us to abolish it. Here is a golden opportunity to solve the problem.
