USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Obey, the Commander, Prays for you, in a powerful song

Utter, not alter. Apologies.

I need to disable my autocorrections as it has its own brain.

In Luke 23:34, Jesus Christ offered one of the most dramatic statements of his mission. As he was being crucified and mocked, taunted ("He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.") Enduring the pain, he altered a statement of forgiveness: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots."

In a classic, he prays for his enemies and those who gossip about others,   "Gbogbo àwọn tí wọn ba n soro wá leyin, kí Edumare dárí jì wọn o."

Pray for those who mock you. It is not about you---it is about their agonies and failures in life. Most criticisms are not about you—it is usually about those who alter them, the manifestation of projections, their failure to become like you. A person who has no money to buy a plot of land can be mocking you for building a ten-level house ("don't you know he stole the money?"). Ninety-nine percent of those who criticize your book have not even seen it; talk less of reading it! This is how evil works. An evil person can call your work "tissue paper!" His emotional pain endures, as you cannot convert the abuses of others into cash.

Ebenezer Obey! What a wonderful spirit. Move on, my brothers and sisters, move on. There comes a time when no one remembers you ever lived!

Just relax and enjoy this music.
