Dear Brother Cornelius:
Discussing polyandry (for the benefit of our Sisters in South Africa) brings memories for
me in my African history classrooms, where i often discuss polyandry and, also, for men,
polygyny. Do you know what happens each semester and, in fact, as recently as just last
semester? Well, I have good news for you!
Many female students, fascinated by polyandry, are ready to pack their bag and baggage to
move to wherever the practice is prevalent, including India. Then, many young men, fascinated
by polygyny, are as well ready to move to African and several Muslim societies. It is all in the
interest of sexual equity!
In the sagacious words of VC Aluko, a great Mentor (in addition to Baba Ijebu and a few others),
I re-echo his words: And there you have it!
A.B. Assensoh.

South Africa seems to be the leader when it comes to advancing sexual liberty (some of the strictly moral conservatives would say revolutionary sexual chaos and anarchy) such as the proposed legalisation of polyandry in that post-Apartheid country. It's just a matter of time before the militant feminists in other African countries also start fighting for " their rights" and then it should be expected that the main opposition to such a proposal will come from Muslims and Christians, and of course, some of the "traditionalists" and pagans.
My understanding is that even the Almighty says that he's "a jealous God"
