England today ended the Covid 19 restrictions imposed since the beginning of the year following an unprecedented surge in infections of Covid 19 by the end of last year.
PM Boris Johnson and England's Tetrarch said it is right thing to do now rather than wait till the Autumn.
With the lifting of restrictions, the hospitality and aviation industries are now fully back in business and social distancing rules come to an end.
People are still advised to put on masks in enclosed spaces but are not constrained to do so.
The different nations in the UK have different approaches to lifting the lockdown.
