Gloria:
Africa is imploding. Options are:
- A vigorous pursuit of a Pan-African agenda, with far-reaching consequences around borderless zones;
- The conversion of older identities into autonomous nations;
- Semi-autonomous nations within current countries, etc.
None will be easy. The people of Sokoto have more affinity with those in Niger. Sokoto to Niamey is no more than 600 kilometers, shorter than Sokoto to Ibadan.
I was part of the delegation to congratulate Abiy Ahmed for winning the Nobel, and many are now traumatized over recent developments.
