Kabiyesi has spoken and he has spoken well, even with body language, kilo se mkpe, what do you call this?
Viewers would notice how he was teaching us to always sit back and rest our backs, as I tell my students on every syllabus, contrary to the advice os a tech executive who wrote Lean ION to show women how to be dominant in board meetings like men even while they are pregnant with aching backs like the author. Chief Ebenezer Obey was also leaning back throughout the hours of interviews. And Kabiyesi was drinking water like OBJ to show us the secret of his youthful appearance, still reading without eye glasses.
Ejoor o, one question for Kabiyesi arises from his historical claim that Oyo remains one of the cradles of formal education in Nigeria. The question is why Oyo State performs at the bottom 10 of the WAEC league tables annually along with Osun State which used to be part of old Oyo, and along with 8 Northern States? Is it because they did not follow Oga Falola and his high school friend into the bush to eat the leaves of idi iwe, the book tree, in order to ace exams without studying, even though it did not seem to work in his Counting the Teeth of a Tiger, where he find tiger self for Naija?
If it is because the bright students are not being taught smart study skills, that can be easily corrected across Africa for higher achievements. A proposal to do so exists for possible application internationally but no takers yet.
