For anyone to be successful in being Nigeria's next leader in 2023, they must work to hijack one of the well established parties, the PDP and the APC.
This was the view of politician and publisher of entertainment magazine Ovation, Chief Dele Momodu, while answering questions on the Toyin Falola Interviews.
Chief Momodu stated that establishing structures was crucial to winning the next elections and contesting the elections on the platform of a minor party without adequate structures will be counter- productive.
The publisher identified three levels in Nigerian politics that the prospective candidate must deal with and capture in order to be successful in becoming the nation's president elect. These include, the area of former military generals and leaders like OIbasanjo, Babangida and Salami and the level of influential businessmen who hold the nation's economy. The third area of people whose interests must be satisfied he said was the realm of traditional rulers.
Chief Momodu adjudged the APC government of President Buhari a failure and saw the PDP at the moment as a rudderless party where it is not clear who the leader of the opposition was between Goodluck Jonathan and Atiku Abubakar.
He was of the view money will continue to dominate Nigerian politics until a working class party is formed which like the British Labour Party can organise check out from the pay cheques of workers to finance candidates to fight elections on working class principles and interests.
OAA
'Government magic' is when a minority heads a majority party only to pander to minority interests while at the helm.
Let those who believe in majority rule vote for its practice at the centre in Nigeria come 2023
