Subject: Call for PhD applications for a project on labour and work in Ghana 1951-2000
To: Gareth Austin <gma31@cam.ac.uk>
Dear Colleagues,
Andreas Eckert (Humboldt) and I have a 3-year project supported by the British and German funding agencies, called 'Where have all the workers gone? Work and Labour in Ghana, 1951-2010]. We are working with labour history colleagues at Legon and Cape Coast. Part of the funding is for 2 PhD positions, tenable in Berlin. I would be grateful if you would kindly pass the attached Call on to any masters' students or graduates you know of who may be interested.
In a few weeks, I will be asking you also kindly to circulate an advertisement for a 12-month postdoctoral research position based in Cambridge, on the quantitative side of the project.
Best wishes,
Gareth
