Great analysis. Thanks for sharing
this, Ken.The only tiny flaw was
their grouping of the coup in
Chad with the others.
Chad's recent coup was
sponsored by France,
apparently, unlike the other
coups that challenge France.
My suspicion is that Chad's
Idriss Deby was about to
go Russian in some form
before his assassination.
France is now detested in
the region for several reasons:
Opportunistic alliance with
the region's dictatorial democrats,
or democratic dictators, from
Conde to Ouattara etc.
Siphoning money from the
region through currency
manipulation and control -
not to mention coercive
"donations" of campaign
funds to French politicians,
and gold digging on the sly,
literally speaking.
Continued French military
encampment to perpetuate
dominance and control over
the body politic and protect
French investments and
companies.
Duplicity, and treacherous
opportunistic relations with
the terrorists/Jihadists
to the point of restraining
the local military in some of
their efforts.
Insulting paternalistic speeches
by politicians such as
Macron etc
