Ken and Gloria:
My own take is around exceptionalism:
- The US can intervene in Ukraine but Russia cannot intervene in Mali. You have to accept or reject both but you cannot pick and choose.
- Ukraine can defend its sovereignty by all means necessary, why not grant Mali the same right?
Both the US and Russia are crookish.

These are crocodile tears about
civilian deaths in Mali. Were the
jihadists not killing civilians before
the present government emerged
to slow down the carnage?
BTW the Wagner group certainly
wouldn't exceed the theft and
exploitation of six decades of
colonialism - inclusive of stolen
artifacts, plundered libraries and
psychological trauma. The discussion
reminds me of Retson Tedheke's
response to K. Magaletskyi with
respect to his posting on Russia
and " famine " in Africa:
"If you have not fed Africa for
decades, why are you now so
concerned about Africa? The
Marshall Plan Built Europe
after the Second World War,
did you develop any plan for
Africa? The West has given
Africans loans and looted
them back to the West. Have
you Bothered Fighting to Have
African Loots Returned?
Slavery Ravaged Africa,
Colonialism was used
to Loot Our Solid Minerals,
have you paid reparations
like was paid for the Holocaust?
King Leopold of Belgium Killed Over
5million in Congo, What has
Belgium Paid? Please Stop Being
Sanctimoniously Deceptive and
Mendaciously Deceitful. ………"
