All allegations are worrisome, but then, they still have to be proved(beyond all reasonable doubts, not on balance of probability).
The plaintiffs are in court, the law would be what the judge rules, that is democracy.
At this point in time, "national interest" is still subjective until the judge makes a ruling.
By the way, whose duty is it to conduct voters' registration exercise in Nigeria?
Is it not the agency that is statutorily saddled with the exercise that should decide when the exercise should start and end?

The political class of Nigeria, regardless of party affiliations, ought to view as significantly worrisome and disheartening the allegations made against INEC by the plaintiff in this federal law-suit. Among the political class, is there a restraining factor, such as "the national interest," which should supersede personal political ambitions? Are there not matters that ought to be viewed as sacrosanct--across the political cultural space--for the sake of the political stability, socioeconomic progress and social peace of this country? Who else here shares my sense of disillusionment? Can this geopolitical entity known as Nigeria ever get its act together?
