USA Africa Dialogue Series - To President of the National PTA

Letter to the  President, National PTA

Dear  President of the National Parents Teachers

 Association.

The PTA is a veritable training ground for  leadership

of the many things or problems you find in a country you have them in a school

or even a university. Like Accomodation, water supply, electric power, security, health issues, roads , maintenance and repair  and as such the organization should take itself more seriously by putting up permanent  and enduring  structures  and not necessarily the fire brigade approach to things.. For instance You seem not to be present via a dedicated website on the web. You need a befitting  website. Something robust. Something to be proud of.

. What I find is that you are squatting  on the websites of organizations different from yours

Sir or Ma. I am sure it is not poverty that makes such and important and formidable organization like yours operate without a website in the second Decade of the 21 st century

What's more many of your children are web designers and computer science

Students. I would be alarmed if I learned they never suggested to youThe need for a website. Then why send them to school?there long accepted benefits of websites- awareness, sales and information

These  websites at various levels  could  reflect many things like your aims and objectives,     educational statistics.education infographics, Teacher training, Teacher recruitment,, Library development,Laboratories, business leaders, community leaders, sports.publishers, history

of the founders, bio data or profiles of the executives,, local, state, federal and even international and board of trustees,, news around the country, media contact study tool kits  or  resources. E-letter, news letter, security   matters  etc

And you are able to reach all you members and more and a such get them properly organized towards the challenge of education in nigeria

I would suggest you do your research  or ask your children on forced holiday to do the research as to what the website could look like and what it could  contain.thank you and good luck
