Toyin you might have a point. perhaps i have not considered things properly. you seem to be saying two things  Nigerians give to government to provide  public goods and services at the same time the Nigerian home is like a local government  onto itself

Dear investors of the world. I thought I should have this conversation with you about nigerians. nigeria is trending all over the world. indeed its the classical case of global ascent and domestic decline as identified by Ali maziru about the African intelligentsia

but this is on nigeria,
nigerians do not read so if you are well read you have an advantage in nigeria as an investor.
nigerians without a sophisticated mortgage system or barely functioning mortgage sytem have 19 milion of them who can afford to build houses costing 20 milion naira via a flexible payment plan but they woud spend next to nothing on their books shelfs even with two cars in the garage

nigerian high net worth do not invest in nigerian start ups they would rather invest in GAFAN goggle, apple facebook amazon and netflix but strangely it is GAFAN investing heavly in Nigeria,

nigerians in short do not invest in nigeria they would ratherr transfer their funds out of the country
nigerians do not buy insurance, have no pension pots and no television licence, do not pay tax do not pay water rate and so many other things that you find in progressive climes #startups #insurance #water #mortgage
