Conflicts unfortunately are part of international diplomacy.
There are forces behind the conflict in Sudan with the attendant Interests, the two contending warlords are just proxies.
When the real forces behind the conflict are identified and appeased (temporarily or permanently), there would be ceasefire or permanent cessation.
