Agreed, with augustine. To be noted: human rights watch has a good deal of valuable reports on the drc, and much on this troubling minerals situation. Amnesty as well, though not as much due to our lack of research resources. Importance of drc is overwhelming, as far as i am concerned. My focus is rwanda and burundi, but the drc is the true lynchpin for the entire region. And augustine is right about the enormous wealth—which is largely flowing out of the country, or into corrupt hands, alas.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Toyin Falola et al on Democratic republic of Congo
Dear Forumite
-- Professor Toyn Falola has just had to be published a work on KENYA. he co authored with two other professors ,from Kenya. I think the world need s a similar publication on Democratic republic of Congo and urgently too.
DRC is usually in the news for the wrong reasons. its a greatly endowed country with a staggering 24 trillion dollars of mineral resources, so we need some kind of book that independents can have towards introducing patches or portions of peace and development in the Democratic republic of congo.thank you.
